Rev. Roland Keith Smith
Pastor Smith was born in November 1962 to Donald and Veressa Smith. His parents were strong in the Lord and faithful to the house of God. If there was something going on at church, they were there. This trait was, without a doubt, passed along to their son.
By God’s design, Pastor Smith crossed paths with a beautiful young Lady named Lisa. On March 6, 1982, the two were married and are still very much in love some 30 years later. They are the proud parents of two daughters of their own, and five additional children which they have recently adopted. All of their children, both biological and adopted, have been a true blessing to have and watch as they grow.
After leaving full time jobs, the Smiths began their work in ministry as evangelists. For roughly 4 years, they traveled across the country preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For Pastor Smith, his wife’s musical talents proved to be a great asset to his ministry.
Following the call of God, they eventually ceased to travel and settled in Lansdale, Pennsylvania cbs oil to start a home missions church. Pastor Smith recalls the 3 years spent in Lansdale as “a learning experience that would prepare us for our future and present day appointment.”
Then, after much prayer, Bro. Smith was led to his present day pastorate in February 1990. He has now been the Pastor of New Life Tabernacle for twenty three years. Through Pastor Smith’s vision and ambition, New Life Tabernacle was able to build a new church facility in 2005, which we now reside in.
Ever the student of God’s word, Pastor Smith has completed a Bachelor’s degree through Purpose Institute. Through the course of his tenure in ministry, Pastor Smith has held multiple offices within the United Pentecostal Church, including Youth President of the PA District, Home Missions Director of the PA District, and Sunday School Secretary of the PA District.
